Job summary

BECU is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to help modernize our digital platforms, deliver scalable solutions, and integrate APIs across member-facing and internal systems. You will work with engineers, product owners, and leaders in an agile environment to drive value and improve the member experience.

You will contribute to AI-enabled development practices, participate in CI/CD, and help shape engineering best practices while staying current with emerging technologies to support BECU's

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent.
• 2+ years designing software and writing production code in a team environment.
• Experience delivering highly scalable solutions across multiple programming languages.
• Strong REACT development experience.
• Experience building and supporting APIs in Java and/or .NET.
• Strong database experience with SQL and data-driven apps.
• Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, GCP, AWS).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, TeamCity).
• Experience with TDD and unit testing.
• Experience using Git and code review processes.
• Understanding of relational and non-relational data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy scalable software solutions for member-facing and internal apps.
• Contribute to website modernization, personalization, and digital experience enhancements.
• Design, develop, and maintain APIs and integrations for critical capabilities.
• Develop and maintain database components, data models, and migrations.
• Analyze requirements and recommend high-quality, maintainable solutions.
• Participate in coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, product owners, and leaders in an Agile environment.
• Explore AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and production releases; troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Identify opportunities to automate and optimize engineering workflows.
• Help shape the team's technology roadmap and best practices.
