Job summary

BECU is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to modernize digital platforms and deliver scalable member experiences. You will build APIs, integrate systems, and collaborate with engineers, product owners, and leaders to drive business value.

The role emphasizes AI-assisted development and secure, reliable software across cloud-native environments. Qualified candidates have 3–5 years of software design experience, strong React skills, API and database proficiency, and hands-on cloud and CI/CD

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience designing software and writing production code in a team environment.
• Experience delivering highly scalable solutions across multiple programming languages and technical environments.
• Strong REACT development experience.
• Experience building and supporting APIs in Java and/or .NET environments.
• Strong database experience, including SQL and working with data-driven applications.
• Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, TeamCity).
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), including unit testing practices and tools.
• Experience using Git and modern branching strategies.
• Understanding of relational and non-relational data modeling and data analysis.
• Demonstrated commitment to staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

• Create data-driven applications with robust data models and migrations.

• Deliver high-quality code with testing, documentation, and reviews.
• Apply AI-assisted development practices to improve productivity and quality.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and production releases.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline engineering workflows.
• Contribute to technical direction and engineering best practices.
