Job summary

DMI is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to support a federal agency by building and maintaining web applications using ReactJS on the front end and Python/FastAPI on the back end. Qualifications

• Proficient in Python, FastAPI, ReactJS, PostgreSQL, and Docker.
• Familiar with AWS cloud services for deploying and monitoring cloud-native apps.
• 3+ years of full-stack development in a collaborative environment.
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and IaC tooling (Terraform, GitHub Actions).
• Experience in federal or regulated environments and Section 508 accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy features across front-end (ReactJS) and back-end (Python/FastAPI).
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs with FastAPI, including validation and OpenAPI docs.
• Develop accessible front-ends per Section 508 standards; ensure responsive UI.
• Model data with PostgreSQL; manage queries, migrations, and stored procedures.
• Operate in trunk-based development; use small commits, short-lived branches, and feature flags.
• Containerize apps with Docker; support AWS deployment of workloads.
• Create automated tests with pytest, Jest, and React Testing Library.
• Maintain API docs, data models, and architecture decision records.
