DMI is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to support a federal agency, building web apps with Python/FastAPI and ReactJS. You will design APIs, ensure accessibility, and work with PostgreSQL data models in a containerized AWS environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-stack software development in a team environment.
• Proficiency with Python, FastAPI, ReactJS, PostgreSQL, and Docker.
• Familiarity with AWS for deployment and troubleshooting cloud-hosted apps.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and IaC tooling such as Terraform and GitHub Actions.
• Experience in federal or regulated environments and Section 508 accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy features across front-end (ReactJS) and back-end (Python/FastAPI) layers.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs using FastAPI with validation, error handling, versioning, and OpenAPI docs.
• Develop responsive, accessible front-ends in line with Section 508 requirements.
• Implement and manage data models, queries, migrations, and stored procedures in PostgreSQL.
• Operate in a trunk-based workflow with small incremental changes and feature flags.
• Package apps with Docker and deploy containerized workloads to AWS.
• Write and maintain automated tests with pytest, Jest, and React Testing Library.
• Maintain API docs, data model diagrams, architecture decisions, and developer guides.
