Job summary

ICF is seeking a Full Stack Developer for Global Health & AI to build AI-enabled applications and APIs that accelerate survey timelines and enable low-connectivity field work.

You will collaborate with AI engineers, survey experts, designers, and partner-country teams, delivering production-grade software, secure cloud apps, and offline tools while ensuring maintainable handover and clear documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with Minimum 5 years, OR
• Master’s degree with Minimum 2 years, of professional full stack development experience
• Minimum 1year of experience integrating LLMs into production systems, with attention to error handling, security, and reliability
• Minimum 1year of experience with a major cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), infrastructure as code, and CI/CD
• U.S. citizenship is required by federal government contract

Responsibilities

• Build a governed data-access application that lets users explore data in natural language with access control
• Develop offline-first field tools for interviewers and field supervisors
• Integrate AI services into applications via APIs and MCP connectors
• Write specifications that drive agent-led development and own the resulting code
• Design data services and schemas for survey metadata, microdata, and AI outputs
• Ensure production readiness with tests and documentation for partner-country institutions
• Communicate progress to technical and non-technical stakeholders
