Job summary

ICF is seeking a Full Stack Developer for the Global Health & AI initiative to build applications, APIs, and data services that apply AI across survey programs. You will work with AI engineers, survey scientists, and country teams to move solutions from prototype to production, including secure cloud apps and offline tools for low-connectivity settings.

This role can be remote within the United States with occasional international travel and is contingent on program funding.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or higher with 5+ years of professional full stack development experience.
1+ year of experience integrating LLMs into production systems with focus on security and reliability.
1+ year of experience with a major cloud platform (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud), infrastructure as code, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

Build a governed data-access application with auth, logging, and disclosure controls.
Develop offline-first tools for field staff operating with intermittent connectivity.
Integrate AI services via APIs and MCP connectors.
Draft specifications for agentic coding tools and deliver production code.
Design data services for survey metadata and AI outputs.
Ensure production readiness and produce clear documentation for partner institutions.
Communicate progress to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
