Job summary

SBSI, based in Golden, Colorado, seeks an experienced Staff Accountant / Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage remote, multi-client bookkeeping. You will handle AP/AR, payroll, monthly closes, and produce accurate financial statements across diverse client needs.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in accounting, proficiency in QuickBooks Online, and a bachelor’s degree. Remote work with nationwide clients, excellent communication, and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience in a professional-services or multi-client environment.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (Required).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Oracle's NetSuite is a plus (not required).

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple small business clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end close.
• Prepare accurate financial statements: P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Post journal entries and maintain general ledger activity.
• Coordinate payroll processes: timesheets, payroll entries, reconciliations.
• Manage vendor records, W-9 collection, and 1099 preparation.
• Support month-end close with reconciliations and journal entries.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, loan, and other balances.
• Communicate with clients to obtain information and resolve discrepancies.
