Job summary

Conexon is seeking a Service and Installation Manager to join our team remotely in the United States. You will lead technicians, manage service and installation fleets, and ensure safety and process compliance across the fiber ops portfolio.

You will coordinate storm restoration, hut maintenance, and commercial installs, while building strong relationships with co-op clients and traveling as needed. Strong leadership and remote-work capability are essential.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma required (College degree preferred).
• 5+ years’ experience in fiber optic ISP operations/construction field.
• Strong PC and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to use optical test equipment including fusion splicers and OTDRs.
• Safely operate a company vehicle.
• Strong communication skills.
• Initiative to work remotely with limited supervision.
• Strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide training for personnel on service, installation processes, and procedures.
• Provide leadership to technicians.
• Place requisitions to Manager for field personnel necessary tools and equipment.
• Enforce proper processes are enforced for maintaining all tools and equipment.
• Manage the service and installation fleet.
• Supervise day to day service technician scheduling and ensure needs are met to exceed customer expectations.
• Oversee super storm restoration service process and damage notifications.
• Supervise hut maintenance and Connect commercial installations.
• Assist with Connect Complete projects and ensure 811/locates are completed.
• Build/maintain positive relationships with co-op clients and travel as needed.
• Assist Project Managers & Maintenance Managers troubleshoot issues in the field.
