Job summary

SMX is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer - Front End Web Application to design, build, support, and implement the BAS solution for a Washington, DC-based customer. This remote role requires U.S. citizenship and Public Trust clearance.

The candidate will work with SAP Analytics Cloud teams to develop interactive UI/UX components, review requirements, and ensure scalable, high-performance front-end solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, or related field.
• 2 years of software engineering experience with front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS).
• Understanding of JavaScript intricacies and REST APIs; experience with XML/JSON data formats.
• Experience in Object Oriented Programming/Design, Web Development, and debugging.
• Ability to work independently and in teams; strong communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise planning and reporting applications using SAC or other web technologies such as JavaScript.
• Review application requirements and interface designs.
• Develop and implement highly interactive UI/UX components.
• Monitor and improve front-end performance.
• Document application changes and updates.
• Provide feedback on the feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Optimize web applications for scalability and speed.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with teammates.
