Job summary

SMX is seeking a Software Engineer - Front End Web Application to contribute to the BAS solution. This remote role supports a Washington, DC based customer and requires a Public Trust clearance.

You will build enterprise web apps using SAC Analytics Designer or standard web technologies, collaborate with a talented team, review requirements, and deliver interactive UI components. U.S. citizenship and clearance readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of software engineering experience across front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS).
• Strong understanding of JavaScript.
• Experience with REST APIs and data formats XML/JSON.
• OO programming design, web development and debugging.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• U.S. citizenship required for federal clearance.
• Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise planning and reporting applications using SAC or other web technologies.
• Review application requirements and interface designs.
• Develop and implement highly interactive UI/UX components.
• Monitor and improve front-end performance.
• Document application changes and updates.
• Provide feedback on the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Optimize web applications for scalability and speed.
• Participate in code reviews and communicate effectively with team members.
