Job summary

SMX in the United States is seeking a Junior Federal Financial Business Analyst to join the client service delivery team. You will partner with government stakeholders to analyze complex financial data, improve processes, and support decision‑making through data‑driven insights.

You will work with designers, developers, and budget SMEs to enhance and rollout the BAS solution on SAP Analytics Cloud, travel <20%, and pursue a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Public Administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep understanding of client objectives, financial operations, and priorities.
• Analyze and document business processes, workflows, requirements, and decision needs.
• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities.
• Recommend process, technology, and data solutions to enhance efficiency and outcomes.
• Review policies and data structures to assess impacts on processes.
• Utilize BI/analytics tools to maximize client data value.
• Guide clients in adopting solutions to improve reporting and financial performance.
• Collaborate across teams to align requirements and delivery.
• Create quality documentation across all SDLC phases.
• Develop test plans and business use cases; manage test execution.
