Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Eng, or related field.
• US Citizenship with active Public Trust.
• SF-85P Tier 2 or above suitability.
• Contractor personnel must have favorable suitability for staff-like access to IRS systems.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (preferred).
• 10 years front-end dev exp, 7+ in senior/ SME role on IT/government projects.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivering enterprise-scale apps.
• Strong React, JS, HTML5, CSS3, and cloud-hosted apps in AWS/Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of USWDS, ODG, WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards.
• Experience building reusable UI component libraries and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical authority on front-end architecture and accessibility for IRS taxpayer-facing apps.
• Guide design/development of responsive, accessible UIs using React/JS/HTML5/CSS3.
• Ensure compliance with USWDS, ODG, WCAG 2.2 AA; review code for accessibility.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and back-end engineers on scalable UI components.
• Provide expertise on performance, API integration, and secure coding practices.
• Support CI/CD for front-end deployments using GitHub Actions/Jenkins; automated testing.
• Mentor front-end developers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure alignment between design, accessibility, and development in Agile lifecycle.
