Job summary

SMX is seeking a Software Engineer – Front End Web Applications to design, build, and support the BAS (Budget and Spend) SaaS solution for agencies. This remote role supports a Washington, DC based customer and requires a Public Trust clearance.

You will contribute to SAC Analytics Designer based projects, building widgets, dashboards, and advanced UI components. Responsibilities include reviewing requirements, implementing interactive UI/UX features, and ensuring performance and scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of front-end web development with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS.
• Experience creating and consuming REST APIs and handling XML/JSON.
• Ability to work independently or within a team.

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise planning and reporting applications using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or other web technologies such as JavaScript.
• Review application requirements and interface designs.
• Develop and implement highly interactive UI/UX components.
• Monitor and improve front-end performance.
• Document application changes and developing updates.
• Provide feedback on the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Optimize web applications for scalability and speed.
• Participate in code reviews and communicate effectively with team members.
