Job summary

SMX is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer - Front End Web Applications to contribute to the BAS solution. This remote role supports a Washington, DC based customer and requires a Public Trust clearance.

The team builds enterprise planning and analytics web apps using SAC Analytics Designer, JavaScript, and related technologies, delivering interactive dashboards and widgets while focusing on performance and scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience across front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS).
• Experience creating/consuming REST APIs and data formats like XML/JSON.

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise planning and reporting apps using SAC or other web technologies.
• Review requirements and interface designs.
• Develop highly interactive UI/UX components.
• Monitor and improve front-end performance.
• Document changes and updates to applications.
• Provide feedback on UI/UX feasibility.
• Optimize apps for scalability and speed.
• Participate in code reviews and teamwork.
