Job summary

The Salvation Army Hibbing Corps is seeking a Social Services Coordinator to provide direct assistance and comprehensive case management to Pathway of Hope participants in Hibbing, MN. The role focuses on holistic, strength-based support, coordinating food pantry services, and promoting social services within the community.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a relevant field preferred; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
• If the degree is in social work, must be licensed by the state board.
• Previous social services and food pantry experience required.
• MN Food Protection Manager Certification within 90 days of employment and maintained throughout employment.
• Must pass background checks.
• Valid driver’s license and meet MVR requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct long-term strength-based, person-centered, holistic case management for POH participants.
• Provide participants with direct assistance (e.g., Heatshare, vouchers).
• Maintain up-to-date participant information in case files and through database entry.
• Oversee food shelf operations including processing donations, staffing, training, statistics, and reporting.
• Facilitate individual and group educational activities.
• Recruit qualifying participants for POH and promote social services and corps programs.
