Qualifications

• 2+ years of freight brokerage/dispatching experience.
• Must be a team player and provide leadership.
• Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette.
• Strong listening and communication with drivers, customers, and staff.
• Knowledge of multi-state geography.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and solve problems.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
• Experience using Windows applications and industry software.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate rates, dispatch and assign carriers to customers’ shipments.
• Manage carrier portfolio, develop relationships and identify lanes.
• Continually source new carriers for portfolio.
• Proactively communicate shipment details to/from motor carriers and internal team.
• Work with senior management to define strategic direction.
