Qualifications

• 2+ years of freight brokerage/dispatching experience.
• Strong teamwork and leadership.
• Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette.
• Effective listening and strong communication with drivers, customers, and staff.
• Knowledge of multi-state geography.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and solve problems.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
• Experience with Windows and industry-specific software.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate rates, dispatch and assign carriers to customers’ shipments.
• Manage carrier portfolio, build relationships and align lanes with freight.
• Continually source new carriers for portfolio growth.
• Proactively communicate shipment details to/from carriers and internal team.
• Collaborate with senior management to define strategic direction and objectives.
