Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement compliance procedures and internal controls to minimize risks and ensure adherence to regulations.
• Provide guidance and training to operational teams on compliance matters.
• Manage and respond to inquiries from customs authorities and other regulatory bodies.
• Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps.
• Assist in the resolution of customs-related issues, delays, or detentions.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of all compliance-related activities and documentation.
• Stay informed about geopolitical events and trade sanctions that may affect freight movement.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Freight Compliance Specialist, Customs Broker, or in a related international trade role.
• In-depth knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and international trade laws.
• Strong understanding of various trade agreements and their implications.

• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing documentation.
