Job summary

Partner Fr8 is seeking a Freight Agent (1099 Contractor) to drive revenue by securing new clients and managing ongoing relationships. This remote role allows you to operate from anywhere in the United States with comprehensive back-office support from our in-house team.

You’ll leverage our web-based TMS and nationwide carrier network to tailor freight solutions, quote rates, and onboard customers. Independent contractors keep full ownership of their book of business and enjoy uncapped

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of sales experience.
• 2 years of logistics experience (freight broker or trucking industry preferred).
• Ability to quote freight independently or using company tools.
• Established transferrable book of business is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently.
• Proficiency in TMS systems is an advantage, but training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with shippers, providing tailored freight solutions.
• Manage customer accounts with top-notch service and follow-up.
• Collaborate with brokerage team to identify right carriers for clients.
• Expand book of business by onboarding new clients.
• Stay updated on industry trends to offer competitive rates and solutions.
