Job summary

Ascent Global Logistics, Inc. is seeking experienced Independent Freight Agents who operate under our brokerage authority as 1099 contractors. The role emphasizes building relationships, securing freight, sourcing carriers, and managing shipments end-to-end with compliance support.

You’ll join a trusted logistics brand with back-office and technology backing. Fully remote, US-based opportunities offer a commission-driven path with access to carrier networks, TMS tools, onboarding, and ongoing

Qualifications

• Active, transferable book of business required.
• Must reside and operate in the United States.
• Strong knowledge of carrier operations, dispatching, and rate negotiation.
• Experience with TMS platforms and load boards such as DAT and Truckstop.

Responsibilities

• Build customer relationships and secure freight opportunities.
• Source and qualify carriers using Ascent’s systems and tools.
• Negotiate rates and handle required shipment documentation.
• Manage shipments through the full lifecycle from booking to delivery.
• Resolve service issues through proactive communication.
• Maintain accurate system records and follow company compliance standards.
