Job summary

Partner Fr8 is seeking a Freight Agent (1099 Contractor) to drive revenue by securing new clients and managing ongoing relationships. This remote role allows you to operate from anywhere in the United States with comprehensive back-office support from our in-house team.

You’ll leverage our web-based TMS and nationwide carrier network to tailor freight solutions, quote rates, and onboard customers. Independent contractors keep full ownership of their book of business and enjoy uncapped

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of sales experience.
• 2 years of logistics experience (freight broker or trucking industry preferred).
• Ability to quote freight independently or using company tools.
• Established transferrable book of business is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently.
• Proficiency in TMS systems is an advantage, but training is provided.

Responsibilities

Position Overview:

As a Freight Agent at Partner Fr8, you will be an independent contractor responsible for driving revenue by securing new clients and managing ongoing relationships. You will have the flexibility to work remotely and will receive full operational support from our in-house team, including billing, accounts receivable and payable, and carrier management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with shippers, providing tailored solutions to their freight needs.


• Manage customer accounts, ensuring top-notch service and consistent follow-up.


• Collaborate with our brokerage team to find the right carriers for your clients' shipments.


• Expand your book of business by identifying and onboarding new clients.


• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and market shifts to provide customers with the most competitive rates and solutions.

Requirements:
