Job summary

Voodoo in the United States seeks a talented VFX Artist to create high-quality 2D and 3D visual effects for upcoming mobile experiences. You will collaborate with designers, artists, and developers to integrate VFX into gameplay and ensure performance.

This is a freelance, remote contract that offers autonomy to shape concepts, experiment with new techniques, and contribute to prototypes reaching millions of players.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a VFX Artist with a strong portfolio across 2D/3D art, motion graphics and animations.
• Proficiency with Maya or Blender. ZBrush, Substance Painter, Houdini, After Effects would be a plus.
• Experience with Unity real-time rendering and shader development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Creating high-quality 2D and 3D VFX, including motion graphics & animations.
• Developing and implementing visual effects for core gameplay and environmental effects.
• Collaborating with designers, artists, and developers to integrate 3D assets and VFX into the game.
• Working with developers to adapt and integrate new art features based on project specifications.
• Optimizing VFX for performance.
• Maintaining VFX pipelines and workflows for efficient production.
• Troubleshooting technical issues related to motion graphics, animations and VFX.
