Job summary

JTG, inc. is seeking experienced freelance translators to support financial, accounting, and tax-related language projects. Assignments may involve written translation, transcription, and quality review of sensitive materials for government and regulated-industry clients.

We recruit linguists across all languages, with priority needs including Albanian, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, and many more. Pay ranges include per-word translation and hourly transcription, with independence and flexible

Qualifications

• Demonstrated professional experience translating between English and a foreign language.
• Familiarity with financial, accounting, regulatory, or tax terminology.
• Strong written English skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• U.S. Government background investigation may be required for certain assignments.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency may be required for specific contracts.

Responsibilities

• Translate documents involving financial, accounting, regulatory, and tax-related subject matter.
• Perform verbatim transcription of audio files and translate transcripts into the target language, per project specs.
• Apply domain-specific terminology and follow style guides and quality standards.
• Review and provide quality assurance feedback on other linguists’ work as required.
• Communicate clearly and professionally in written and spoken English.
• Meet deadlines while maintaining confidentiality and data-handling requirements.
