Job summary

JTG, inc. is seeking on-site translators to translate written texts and transcribe audio passages into English in Reston, Virginia. The role is freelance and temporary, with schedules Monday–Friday and flexible hours between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. expected durations range from 1 to 15 days per assignment.

Languages include Polish, French, Italian, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Candidates must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass a background check, with a Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.

JTG is currently seeking Translators to provide written translation onsite in Reston, VA, on a freelance basis.

Languages: Polish, French, Italian, Spanish, and Vietnamese.

Location: Reston, VA.

Job Type: Temporary contract.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, flexible hours between 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Duration: Approximately 1–15 days at a time.

Pay Range: $0.10 – $0.20 per English word of translation, $25.00 – $40.00 per hour of transcription.

Responsibilities

• Translate written texts and/or transcribe audio passages from the foreign language into English.
• Provide gists and summaries in English.

Basic Qualifications

• Proficiency in each working language.
• Experience in written translation from the foreign language into English.
• Familiarity with Windows applications and basic computer skills.
• Available to work onsite at JTG headquarters in Reston, VA; Orem, UT; or Monterey, CA.
• Must be a U.S. citizen willing to undergo a background check.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.

This position reports to the Project Manager.
