Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking a Freelance Data Center Technician to deliver on-demand support for our global data centers. You will install, configure, and maintain servers and networking gear, while diagnosing issues and ensuring maximum uptime.

This role requires the ability to work independently and coordinate with remote teams across time zones. Candidates should have hands-on experience with Linux and Windows systems, network devices (Cisco/Juniper), and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with data center hardware installation and maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware/software/network issues.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networking equipment, and hardware to ensure uptime.
• Monitor data center operations remotely and on-site, diagnose issues to minimize downtime.
• Configure and troubleshoot networking devices (Cisco/Juniper) to ensure secure operations.
• Manage Linux and Windows systems, applying updates and security patches.
• Document installations, repairs, and performance for remote team transparency.
