Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks a Fractional General Counsel to provide senior in-house legal leadership for an early-stage FinTech. This remote role focuses on governance, regulatory strategy, and strategic partnerships, working closely with the Founder/CEO and executive team.

Approximately 6–8 hours per week, you will coordinate external advisers, oversee IP and data protection matters, support fundraising due diligence, and establish scalable legal processes for cross-border initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience leading in-house or equivalent legal leadership within FinTech or regulated tech environments.
• Qualified to practise law; state jurisdiction and current practising status.
• Experience advising early-stage or high-growth businesses.
• Experience with complex commercial, technology, partnership or financial-services agreements.
• Experience with UK financial-services regulation and regulatory-perimeter issues.
• Experience with payments, trade finance, lending, banking, Web3/blockchain or cross-border financial services.
• Experience coordinating external counsel and deciding when external legal advice is needed.
• This opportunity requires approximately 6–8 hours per week and you can commit to this alongside other commitments.
