Job summary

Northstar Legal is seeking a Junior Associate to join our fractional in-house counsel team in a remote-flexible role. You will support a senior fractional GC across a portfolio of crypto/fintech clients, handling corporate, regulatory, commercial, and employment matters, with direct client contact and mentorship.

You will draft and negotiate agreements, perform regulatory research, and help manage governance, budgets, and administrative work.

Qualifications

• Licensed U.S. attorney with 1–3 years of experience.
• Strong academic credentials and excellent legal writing ability.
• Interest in cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and decentralized systems.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Conduct regulatory research on securities, commodities, money transmission, sanctions, and related frameworks.
• Support corporate governance by drafting board resolutions and equity actions.
• Assist in managing client administrative infrastructure for efficient service.
• Coordinate outside counsel and manage budgets and timelines.
• Create templates, checklists, and playbooks to scale legal support.
• Monitor regulatory developments and summarize key guidance and actions.
• Develop expertise in token structures, privacy compliance, and IP protection.
