Job summary

Novogradac is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to support budgeting, projections, and ad hoc reports within the Finance Department. This remote or hybrid role reports to the FP&A Manager and offers flexibility across multiple U.S. locations.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in accounting/finance, strong Excel and analytical skills, and experience with accounting software. Applicants discuss remote or hybrid options with recruiters during the process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance plus 1-3 years of accounting or finance experience and/or appropriate balance of education and work experience.
• Prior experience working in a professional services firm a plus.
• Ability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritize a fast-paced and varied workload, effectively manage a variety of concurrent and shifting priorities.
• Excellent organizational and follow-through skills, performing work accurately with strong attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to gather information, conduct analyses, present findings, and create solutions.
• Strong computer proficiency, including solid skills in the Microsoft Office suite, in particular with Excel, as well as experience using accounting software systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare analytical reports to analyze employee productivity and overall firm performance.
• Compile and deliver supporting reports in response to partner and principal inquiries.
• Prepare and update recurring monthly and quarterly financial planning and budgeting reports.
• Update fixed assets and prepare depreciation reports.
• Report on complex data points and ad hoc finance analysis reports.
• Additional duties and projects as assigned.
