Tiger Data, formerly Timescale, is seeking an FP&A Analyst to own planning across headcount, COGS, marketing spend, and recurring forecasting. You will turn complex financial data into executive-ready narratives for leadership and the Board.

This remote role, focused on East Coast hours, emphasizes building structure in a fast-growing company and creating impact beyond templated reports.

Qualifications

• Experience in forecasting, headcount planning, budget management, and variance analysis.
• Able to manage recurring financial processes with limited supervision.
• Comfort partnering with department leaders and questioning assumptions.
• Ability to translate data into clear written explanations of performance.
• Interest in using AI to improve finance workflows while maintaining judgment and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Own headcount planning, forecasting, and budget tracking across the business.
• Maintain COGS forecasting, variance analysis, and performance reporting.
• Partner with Marketing to monitor spend and evaluate financial impact of programs.
• Support weekly ARR forecast with inputs and validated assumptions.
• Prepare recurring financial slides and executive materials for leadership and Board.
• Run budget-versus-actual analyses and follow up on changes with leaders.
• Support monthly/quarterly planning with clear financial analysis.
• Collaborate with Accounting during month-end close to improve accruals and variance explanations.
• Improve FP&A processes and templates for speed and consistency.
• Validate inputs and escalate issues affecting decisions.
• Leverage AI to accelerate analysis and draft performance narratives.
