Tiger Data, formerly Timescale, is hiring a Senior FP&A Analyst to own planning and analysis across headcount, COGS, marketing spend, and recurring forecast updates. You will turn complex financial data into executive-ready materials for leadership and the Board.

This remote role within the United States emphasizes East Coast overlap and strong collaboration with the FP&A leader. The role requires deep FP&A expertise, ability to create structure in a growing org, and the capability to use AI

Qualifications

• Strong FP&A experience, including forecasting, headcount planning, budget management, and variance analysis.
• Independent management of recurring financial processes with minimal supervision.
• Ability to partner with department leaders and challenge assumptions when needed.
• Translate financial data into clear written performance explanations.
• Curiosity about applying AI to improve finance workflows while maintaining accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Own headcount planning, forecasting, and budget tracking across the business, including hiring timing and compensation assumptions.
• Maintain clear view of COGS and recurring forecasting, variance analysis, and performance reporting.
• Partner with Marketing to monitor spend and evaluate financial impact of programs and partnerships.
• Support weekly ARR forecast with inputs, validation, and cadence reliability.
• Prepare recurring financial slides, executive materials, and performance updates explaining changes and actions.
• Run budget-versus-actual analyses and follow up with leaders on changes, risks, and forecasts.
• Support monthly/quarterly planning discussions with clear analysis and organized materials.
• Collaborate with Accounting during month-end close to improve accruals and variance explanations.
• Improve recurring FP&A processes, templates, and reporting workflows for speed and consistency.
• Work with financial and operating data, validate inputs, and escalate any issues affecting decisions.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis and draft narratives while preserving human judgment.
