Job summary

Children's Hope Alliance seeks a Foster Parent Training and Engagement Specialist to expand our foster parent network nationwide. The role oversees the full lifecycle from inquiry to licensure, delivering pre-service training and representing the agency at public events.

The position is remote with 50% travel, funded by Carolina Complete Health. You will drive referrals, improve conversion rates, and support licensing while coordinating community outreach and informational sessions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marketing, Communications, Human Services, or related field preferred.
• Certification in a state-mandated Foster Parent training curriculum or ability to gain certification.
• Experience in recruitment and/or training of Foster Parents preferred.
• Knowledge of Foster Care and impact of trauma on children.

Responsibilities

• Act as the central hub for foster parent inquiries and ensure eligibility screening within 48 business hours.
• Improve conversion from inquiry to licensure.
• Plan and execute community-based events to raise agency awareness and foster relationships.
• Represent the agency at community forums and committees and advocate for Foster Parents needs.
• Monitor recruitment efforts and progress toward metrics.
• Lead informational sessions and follow-up calls for pre-service movements.
• Facilitate Foster Parent pre-service training including NTDC Curriculum and Teaching-Family Model.
• Willing to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Support licensing challenges and delays encountered by foster parents and trainers.
