Job summary

TaxGPT is seeking a Forward Deployed Accountant / Tax Technologist to embed with CPA firms and transform tax workflows using AI. You will map how work moves, configure TaxGPT to fit firm processes, and train teams to adopt the system across research, prep, review, planning, and client delivery.

You will travel 30–40% to customer sites and industry events, joining occasional San Francisco HQ gatherings as needed. This is a strategic, founding role shaping product adoption and playbooks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in public accounting, tax prep, review, planning, or related firm role.
• Fluent understanding of how accounting firms operate and partner-level speak.
• Proven ability to teach, drive change, and train teams.
• Comfort with tax returns, memos, and busy-season bottlenecks using AI.
• Bias for action in ambiguity; ships workable processes quickly.
• Technical fluency with AI tools and tax software, not a coder.

Responsibilities

• Embed with TaxGPT customers to map tax workflows and define success metrics.
• Design, pilot, and operationalize AI-powered tax workflows within firms.
• Lead implementation, rollouts, and durable playbooks for scale.
• Train partners, managers, preparers, and ops staff for adoption.
• Collaborate with sales, success, and product on high-value accounts.
