Texture is seeking a Staff Forward-Deployed Engineer to integrate customers into our energy platform.

This role involves working directly with member-owned electric utilities to understand their needs, own software integration, and build scalable solutions. We're looking for candidates with at least 10 years of engineering experience, strong communication skills, and curiosity about the energy sector. The position offers a remote-first environment with optional office space in New York City.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience with production systems.
• Ability to operate independently and handle ambiguity.
• Strong communication skills, especially with non-technical audiences.
• Breadth across the stack is a plus including backend, DevOps, and data engineering.
• Curious about the energy grid and related terms.

Responsibilities

• Join delivery and implementation team on customer calls.
• Own software integration work end-to-end.
• Be the technical voice on new opportunities.
• Support in developing services-only engagement menu.
• Translate technical needs to non-technical customers.
• Ensure what you ship is production code.
