Job summary

Gridsight is seeking a Founding Forward Deployed Engineer to build the AI-native workflow for power engineers and the GTM team. You will be hands-on, embedding with internal users, translating field problems into tooling requirements, and owning delivery from prototype to production.

This founding role emphasizes credibility in enterprise environments, field-focused execution, and rolling out tools across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping software inside a product-engineering organization.
• Ability to discover user needs by working with power engineers and GTM teams.
• Track record translating technical needs into usable tooling and products.

Responsibilities

• Embed with power engineers and GTM teams to map workflows and constraints for tooling.
• Be the first serious user of new FDE tooling; test usefulness, correctness, reliability and fit with critical infrastructure.
• Turn evidence into clear requirements, priorities and acceptance criteria with Product and Engineering.
• Investigate data, write Python and SQL, build prototypes and integrations, debug workflows.
• Onboard the U.S. team, train users, establish operating cadence, measure adoption and outcomes.
• Define tool usage standards, quality bar for AI-assisted work, and when human review is required.
• Turn recurring field needs into reusable workflows and playbooks for faster future engagements.
• Help leadership define engagement criteria, decision rights, handoffs and success measures.
