Job summary

Terra is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge Terra's health data platform with customer environments. You will architect integrations, implement webhook-based data flows, and ensure secure, scalable delivery within customer stacks.

You will collaborate closely with clients, guide technical scoping, and help ship data pipelines that empower real-time health insights. The role emphasizes hands-on development, cross-team collaboration, and delivering end-to-end integration solutions

Qualifications

• 3+ years building software, with experience designing and consuming REST APIs at scale.
• End-to-end ownership of integrations: auth flows (OAuth 2.0, API keys), webhook architectures, error handling, retry logic, idempotency.
• Strong in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript; able to prototype webhook consumers or debug customer pipelines.
• Direct experience working with customers or partners in a technical capacity and translating issues into fixes.
• Ability to context-switch between multiple customer architectures weekly without losing depth.
• Clear, concise communication with engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design integration architectures mapping Terra endpoints, webhooks, and data models to customer requirements.
• Write production code in customer environments: webhook consumers, data transformation, auth flows, and API integration.
• Debug across full stack from device data to Terra API, handling edge cases and data quality issues.
• Own the technical relationship with 3–5 strategic accounts as their Terra expert from pre-sales to go-live.
• Translate field learnings into platform improvements and collaborate with engineering to fix root causes.
• Build reference implementations, SDKs, and sample apps to simplify Terra API adoption.
