AustinWorks seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to own enterprise deployments for Healthcare AI, guiding technical scoping through production launch.

You will build integrations with APIs, EHRs, scheduling platforms, and telephony, and develop backend workflows tailored to each client. This hybrid, customer‑facing engineering role emphasizes strong CS fundamentals and collaboration with product and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 1–6 years of software engineering experience.
• Backend or full-stack developer with API and third‑party integrations.
• Strong CS fundamentals; CS/CE degree preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Experience in healthcare deployments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise deployments from discovery to go-live.
• Build production integrations with APIs, EHRs, scheduling, telephony.
• Develop backend and full-stack workflows for each customer.
• Debug production and integration issues.
• Deploy and optimize AI agents for patient interactions.
• Create reusable tooling for future deployments.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering on platform improvements.
• Work with technical and nontechnical customer stakeholders.
