Job summary

IBM Consulting seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer - AI to transform business challenges into production-ready AI solutions. You will combine software engineering, data science, GenAI, and agentic AI to prototype, deploy, and scale solutions that deliver measurable business value.

Responsibilities include building end-to-end GenAI and agentic AI applications, data preparation and integration, MLOps practices, and direct client collaboration to drive adoption and ROI.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering production AI solutions.
• Strong Python and SQL with GenAI and agentic AI experience.
• Experience with LLMs, embeddings, and vector databases.

Responsibilities

• Identify AI use cases with business and technical teams and define success metrics.
• Develop end-to-end GenAI, RAG, and agentic AI applications using platforms and tools referenced in the ad.
• Design and implement LLM-powered agents, tool calls, orchestration, and evaluation frameworks.
• Prepare data, integrate AI solutions with enterprise data and APIs.
• Apply MLOps/LLMOps, testing, monitoring, and responsible AI practices.
• Present insights, demonstrate outcomes, and enable client adoption.
