Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer - AI to transform complex business challenges into production-ready AI solutions. You will prototype, deploy, and scale GenAI, RAG, and agentic AI apps with LangGraph, CrewAI, and cloud platforms, collaborating with clients across industries.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, data integration, MLOps, governance, and measurable business impact, with a focus on delivering practical AI outcomes for diverse clients in the US.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of experience in AI/ML, data science, or software engineering delivering production AI solutions.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, with hands-on GenAI and agentic AI applications.
• Experience with LLMs, RAG, and multi-step workflows using LangChain, LangGraph, or CrewAI.
• Experience with APIs, cloud AI platforms and tools such as Git, Docker, or Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Identify AI use cases with business impact and success metrics.
• Develop end-to-end GenAI, RAG, and agentic AI applications.
• Design LLM-powered agents, tool use and orchestration, prompts and evaluation.
• Data engineering and integrations with enterprise systems and APIs.
• Scale and operationalize AI with MLOps/LLMOps and governance.
• Present insights and drive client adoption, creating reusable assets.
