Job summary

Sterling Computers Corporation is seeking a Senior Network Consultant to support federal customers remotely in the United States. You will assess, design, deploy, and optimize Fortinet-based network and security architectures across DoD, IC, and public sector environments.

You will work with sales, vendor partners, and Sterling engineers to deliver mission-aligned solutions and provide post-implementation support.

Qualifications

• Federal Civilian, DoD, IC, or public sector experience required.
• Deep hands-on Fortinet solutions experience (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiClient/EMS, FortiAuthenticator, FortiNAC, FortiWeb).
• Experience with adjacent vendors (Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, Dell, HPE/Aruba, VMware, Microsoft, Red Hat) is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions with federal customers to understand mission requirements and modernization objectives.
• Develop Fortinet-based network and security designs that align with customer needs and Sterling standards.
• Configure, deploy, validate, and optimize Fortinet solutions across firewall, VPN, SD‑WAN, segmentation, and centralized management.
• Troubleshoot complex network and security issues across routing, switching, Fortinet integrations.
• Produce clear technical documentation including implementation plans and migration diagrams.
