Job summary

Keystone Experts & Engineers is seeking licensed Professional Engineers (Mechanical/Electrical) with forensic investigation experience to determine cause and origin of site issues, including wind, hail, and equipment failures. This is a fully remote, part-time 1099 contract.

The ideal candidate will perform failures analysis, conduct site evaluations, and prepare findings to support insurance claims or litigation, with the ability to access roofs, attics, and crawl spaces and deliver timely

Qualifications

• Active Professional Engineer license required.
• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or related field.
• Understanding of building materials, codes, construction methods.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and travel to sites within 5–7 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering failure analysis to determine cause and extent of damage.
• Conduct site evaluations and field analyses of mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems.
• Provide failure evaluations due to hail, wind, lightning, and equipment issues.
• Access roofs, attics, crawl spaces to photo-document areas of interest.
• Prepare findings and recommendations for insurance claims or litigation.
