Qualifications

• Active PE license is required.
• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical engineering or a similar field.
• Strong knowledge of building materials, codes, and failure modes.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Availability to inspect sites within 5–7 days.
• Tech-savvy across multiple software platforms and investigative tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communications.
• Analytical problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering failure analysis to determine cause and origin of damage.
• Conducts site evaluations and field analysis of mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems.
• Evaluates failures from hail/wind, lightning, improper maintenance or defects.
• Safely access roofs, attics, and crawl spaces to photo document areas of interest.
• Interview witnesses and key parties involved.
• Prepare findings for claims or litigation purposes.
