Job summary

Keystone Experts & Engineers is seeking licensed professional engineers for forensic investigations to determine the cause and origin of issues across residential, commercial, and industrial properties. The role includes electrical and mechanical fire support, root-cause analysis, commissioning and condition assessments.

Qualifications

• Active PE license required.
• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or similar field.
• Strong knowledge of building materials, codes, construction methods, and failure modes.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work on 5–7 day site inspections.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering failure analysis: determine cause and origin of damage and failures.
• Conduct site evaluations and field analyses of mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems.
• Provide evaluations for failures due to weather, improper maintenance, installation, or defects; offer remediation recommendations.
• Safely access roofs, attics, and crawl spaces to photo document areas of interest.
• Identify witnesses and key parties involved and interview them.
• Prepare and submit findings that support insurance claims or litigation.

Education

Professional Engineering license (PE)
