Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in FOIA case review and processing.
• Experience supporting FOIA case processing, disclosure review, redaction, appeals, litigation or related information-access work.
• Strong knowledge of FOIA processes and federal requirements with ability to apply to case work.
• Understanding of federal FOIA operations and coordination among offices and officials.
• Familiarity with case-management, SharePoint, Box, and approved eDiscovery tools.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required background investigations and security clearances.
• Ability to meet residency requirements in the United States.
• Commitment to training on privacy, records management, and behavior rules.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze records responsive to FOIA requests and related matters using approved systems.
• Conduct disclosure reviews and apply FOIA exemptions with judgment and consistency.
• Coordinate with government staff, offices, locations, and requesters to clarify scope and terms.
• Prepare records for release with redaction, Bates numbering, and indexes.
• Support appeals and litigation with Relativity review and related documentation.
• Develop and implement search terms in eDiscovery systems and document activity.
• Maintain complete case files with notes, correspondence, and supporting docs.
• Review work for completeness and exemption correctness before final government review.
