Placements24 is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a fully remote role with a leader in hydraulic and pneumatic systems. You will design mechanical components for fluid power, create 3D models and BOMs using CAD tools, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance solutions.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 3–5 years of design experience, proficient in SolidWorks or AutoCAD, with ability to perform FEA/CFD analyses and support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of mechanical design experience focused on fluid power systems.
• Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation awareness.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for hydraulic/pneumatic applications.
• Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs using CAD software.
• Perform FEA/CFD and other simulations to validate designs.
• Collaborate with electrical/control teams via virtual tools.
• Select materials and components for fluid power systems.
• Troubleshoot during prototyping and testing phases.
• Document design processes and results comprehensively.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of design methodologies.
