Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in mechanical design for industrial automation or robotics.
• Proficiency in CAD software and understanding of PDM/PLM systems.
• Experience with FEA and kinematic simulation tools.
• Knowledge of servos, pneumatics, hydraulics and sensors.
• Familiarity with safety standards and remote work ability.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex mechanical systems for industrial automation, including robotic work cells and conveyors.
• Perform detailed design, analysis, and simulation to ensure performance, safety, and reliability.
• Create precise 3D models and 2D drawings using industry CAD software.
• Collaborate with controls engineers, software developers, and project managers in a remote setting.
• Specify and select mechanical components such as motors, actuators, bearings, and sensors.
• Develop and oversee testing procedures, analyze results, and implement changes.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues across design, build, commissioning, or operation.
• Contribute to technical documentation, manuals, and SOPs.
• Research emerging automation technologies to drive improvement and innovation.
