Job summary

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a highly analytical Flight Applications Systems Analyst to join the Information Technology department in a fully remote capacity. This role supports the university's core flight systems, including Talon ETA/RMS and SplashBI, by developing reports, optimizing data flows, and troubleshooting complex issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3-5 years of Information Technology experience.
• Knowledge of software development life cycle principles, methods, and tools.
• Ability to support applications, troubleshoot issues, and communicate tech info.
• Ability to learn code and work with SQL.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service, and training skills.
• Experience in higher education IT environments and with flight systems is beneficial.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies related to applications support.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support for flight systems and integrations.
• Develop and maintain operational and analytical reports.
• Write and troubleshoot SQL queries and validate data.
• Investigate complex system issues and coordinate resolutions.
• Gather requirements and translate needs into reports and enhancements.
• Assist in system upgrades, testing, and vendor coordination.
