Job summary

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a Flight Applications Systems Analyst to support and enhance core flight systems remotely. You will develop and maintain reports, troubleshoot SQL queries, validate data, and translate requirements into technical solutions for academic and administrative stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years IT experience, a CS-related degree, and strong communication skills. The role requires 24/7 on-call coverage with collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3–5 years of IT-related experience.
• Knowledge of SDLC principles, methods, and tools.
• Ability to support applications, troubleshoot issues, and explain technical details.
• Ability to read code and work with SQL and scripting languages.
• Knowledge of interface construction.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently.
• Ability to collaborate with administrative, clerical, and academic stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Windows and Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, Project, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support for core flight systems and related integrations.
• Develop and maintain operational and analytical reports; write and troubleshoot SQL queries.
• Validate data and investigate complex system issues; gather requirements from stakeholders.
• Translate customer needs into reports, system enhancements, and sustainable solutions.
• Collaborate with academic and administrative departments and coordinate tasks.
