Job summary

Wanzek is seeking a Fleet Manager to lead procurement, scheduling and financial analysis for owned, rented, or leased equipment across projects. You will develop fleet policies, oversee CapEx budgeting, and negotiate with vendors to optimize asset utilization.

The role offers flexible location in the United States with up to 25% travel, a focus on safety, data-driven decisions, and collaboration with project teams to align fleet activities with schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years relevant experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Primavera, Viewpoint and Construction Software techniques.
• Read, analyze and interpret specifications, contracts or governmental regulations; write reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to travel up to 50% by various means and lodging as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead fleet management staff in procurement, scheduling and management of assets.
• Write and implement policies and SOPs for fleet management.
• Promote and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Provide financial analysis on equipment fleet and advise on CapEx purchases and disposals.
• Establish relationships and negotiate with vendors to rent, lease or purchase equipment assets.
• Communicate with project teams to forecast needs and schedule assets to meet demand and budget.
• Review and approve invoices, purchase orders and quotes.
• Enter into agreements and POs with vendors using standard procurement processes.
• Collect data into a management system to evaluate fleet health and availability.
• Supervise telematics system implementation and usage for billing and reports.
• Analyze and adjust internal fleet rental and rate structures to support estimating teams.
