Placements24 is seeking a skilled Remote Fleet Operations Manager to remotely oversee and optimize fleet operations across the Welkom, Free State region. This fully remote role requires you to manage driver scheduling, routing, compliance, and performance from your home office while maintaining high service levels.

The ideal candidate has at least five years in fleet management, experience leading remote teams, and proficiency with fleet software, GPS tracking, and digital collaboration tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in fleet management or transportation operations.
• Experience managing remote teams and operations.
• Proficiency with fleet management software, GPS tracking, and digital comms.

Responsibilities

• Remotely manage daily fleet operations, including driver scheduling, dispatch, and performance monitoring.
• Develop and implement efficient routing strategies to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption.
• Ensure compliance with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies across the fleet.
• Conduct virtual performance reviews and provide coaching to remote drivers.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
• Analyze fleet performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Manage operational budgets and control costs associated with fleet operations.
• Utilise fleet management software and communication tools to maintain effective oversight.
