Job summary

Coinbase is hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead high-priority, cross‑functional programs across product, engineering, design, and data teams. You will translate strategy into executable plans, drive alignment, and deliver high-quality features on time in a fast-growing fintech environment.

The role requires 7+ years in TPM or similar leadership, with a track record of managing complex initiatives through ambiguity and tight timelines.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering leadership, or similar roles driving large technical programs.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives through ambiguity, tight timelines, and regulatory constraints.
• Technical fluency with modern distributed systems to engage with senior engineers on architecture and sequencing decisions.
• Experience defining program-level KPIs and using dashboards/data to guide prioritization across Product, Engineering, and business teams.
• Familiarity with fintech, trading, payments, or crypto/web3/DeFi ecosystems.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional programs from problem definition through launch and post-launch follow-up, defining scope, milestones, dependencies, and success metrics.
• Drive the operating cadence for programs (kickoffs, status reviews, dashboards, risk tracking) to keep Product, Engineering, Design, Data, and business partners aligned.
• Identify risks and cross-team dependencies, drive mitigations, and escalate for leadership decisions.
• Partner with Engineering leads to evaluate technical trade-offs around reliability, scalability, and maintainability to support program goals.
• Translate product and business goals into executable program plans and define program-level KPIs guiding prioritization and decision-making.
